1. Will I really be the ONLY one on my server?

Absolutely! Some hosts tell you that you are getting a dedicated server but actually you are sharing it with a few others. This is not so with us. You have full control over the machine (including ROOT access).

2. Will I have full ROOT access to my server?

Absolutely! You can do whatever you wish with the server -- from installing new software to re-compiling the kernel. It is all up to you.

3. How much is extra bandwidth?

If you feel you need more bandwidth with your dedicated server we can sell it to you at $40 per 100 Gigs per month. If you purchase the bandwidth in advance the price goes down to as low as $25 per 100 Gigs per month. You will need to contact us for specific advanced purchase pricing.

4. You will manage my server for FREE?

Yes! Very few hosting companies will do this for you without additional costs (which can be quite expensive), but at PerformanceHosting we go `beyond the call of duty` to make sure your server is up and running! If you prefer us to be hands-off, then that is fine too. You have the option for us to fully manage your server or only slightly manage it. For more details on our managed services, visit here.

5. What about backup solutions?

For every server we employ a full daily backup to another server at no additional fee so that your data is always secured.

We optionally also have full-redundancy backups -- which actually incur a slight increased cost -- but ensure that in the unlikely event your server's Hard disk fails, a fully mirrored Hard Disk (with your Operating System AND configuration AND ALL your data) is restored quickly within minutes. If you are interested in this solution, please contact us for a quote. It usually runs less than $45/mo on most dedicated hosting plans.

6. What about server monitoring and reboots?

7. Any long-term contracts required?

No! All dedicated servers (unless your package explicity states otherwise) are month-to-month! You can cancel anytime!

8. What if I need help installing software or configuring the server?

We believe in getting you up and running as smoothly as possible, and we are here to assist you in any way possible. This includes installing software, and configuring the server to your specific needs. We do not charge extra for Technical support (unlike many other hosting companies!) 9. Are there any hidden fees?

Absolutely not. We do not do business that way. Any fees are given plainly for you to see before you order.

10. Will my monthly fees ever go up?

No. Once you have registered, your price is "locked in" even though our packages are charged month to month.

11. How long does it take to get my server up and running once I place an order?

If we offer a special deal that mentions a previous order "fell through", the server is ready immediately. Otherwise, it usually takes *up to* 48 hours (sometimes it's sooner) to build your server and set up according to your desired specifications.
